What is Gulaman?

It’s the vegetarian alternative to the the American animal-based gelatin!

Gulaman is made from algae, aka seaweed. It is made into different colors and flavors.

You can use gulaman powder mixes imported from the Philippines to make Japanese-style raindrop cakes!

The violet-colored gulaman has the flavor of ube (purple yam), while the green-colored gulaman has the flavor of buko pandan (coconut + screwpine leaves).
